- Aluminum gets in your blood. Funny thing is my parents never camped. Dad took Mom to FL in a 5th wheel borrowed from me. I was bitten with the camping bug when I had graduated from high school. I borrowed money, bought a 1964 Shasta 16 SCS and the rest is history. I have owned more than 40 travel trailers, tent campers, motorhomes, and even tents, since 1979. Aluminum is addictive, and I hope for my sake, there is never a cure.
